THE QUEEN OF HEARTS
The Queen of Hearts,
She made some tarts,
All on a Summer’s day.
The Knave of Hearts,
He stole those tarts
And took them clean away
The King of Hearts
Called for those tarts,
And beat the Knave full sore;
The Knave of Hearts
Brought back those tarts
And he vowed he’d steal no more.
Hey diddle, diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon;
The little dog laughed to see such a sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
CROSS PATCH
Cross Patch,
Draw the latch,
Sit by the fire and spin.
Take a cup
And drink it up
And call your neighbors in.
WEE WILLIE WINKIE
Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town,
Upstairs and downstairs, in his nightgown;
Rapping at the window, crying at the lock,
“Are the children in their beds, for now its eight O’Clock!”
LITTLE BOY BLUE
Little Boy Blue,
Come blow your horn,
The sheep’s in the meadow,
The cow’s in the corn.
Where is the boy
who looks after the sheep?
He’s under a haystack fast asleep.
Fast asleep. Will you wake him?
No, not I.
For if I do,
He’s sure to cry.
I may not do this every night but here’s 3 or more for your enjoyment. Hopefully your little one’s will enjoy and I will add more in a couple of days. I say focus on the little one’s but then I don’t do anything for their enjoyment. Good Night and Sweet Dreams young boys and girls….
