I’m late but, 10 years ago I started this blog page. I was at home taking care of my elderly aging mother and raising my children. I had no idea where I wanted this page to go. Ten years later, still not sure. March 2012. Fast forward to November 2022. My children are all grown. My youngest graduated High School last year, YAYYYYY. Big Yay. My mom was 92 years old and she was SOOOOO excited to see her youngest daughter, youngest daughter graduate high school. I was excited because she was the last to turn 18 years old and graduate. First time in my adult life I didn’t have a minor child I was responsible for. 30 years of raising children, completed. Sorta. She did a year in college in the nursing program. Then she decided she wanted to take a break from school for a year ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿ™ƒ ๐Ÿ˜’ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคฌ I felt every emotion. Thought about forcing her to continue but, I just said ok. One year. So, we’re just a few months into that year because summer break doesn’t count๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ I was counting it. July of 2020, my dad passed away. My parents were married for 63 years. Before he passed I promised him I would take care of my mom. For 12 years, that’s exactly what I did. At the age of 93, my mom passed away the end of September. She loved being in her 90’s. She was hoping for 100 years but 93 Blessed years is nothing to complain about. So, my parents gone, my children grown I found myself asking what do I do now?? My mom Pastor said, “you live, and take care of you. Do whatever makes you happy”. So, I’m focused on doing just that. Excitedly looking forward to what I accomplish in the next 10 years. TBC
